Italian food culture is one focused on communal antipasti, starters like meats, cheese, and more, along with shared primi, primary meals like pasta, secondi, and other tasting options. And we can't forget the wine. Flavor exploration and communal enjoyment of meals with friends and family is one that has been kept alive in Italian culture.

This concept is vastly different from American food cultures. While there are shared meals with families, they usually are short and sweet, not going on for hours with different courses. Another thing is that Americans also usually eat alone, since we prioritize working and other activities more than eating together with others. This lead to me thinking, how could we introduce the Italian culture of shared meals and tasting to the American table?

This lead to the concept of Degust. Designed to give individuality for the users, they are able to taste dishes and beverages, and allowing the eating experience to not only last longer, but also allow for a mixture of dishes for the user.
